SCRUMstudy’s Professor Bubbleman will be your guide to the world of Scrum as you make your way through the case studies that are a part of SCRUMstudy’s Introduction to Scrum course. The web-app is not a test; rather, it is a useful tool that provides a framework to help you apply Scrum concepts to real-life situations. You can also use the Bubbleman web-app in your workplace to review concepts and manage projects in a better manner.
As part of SCRUMstudy's Introduction to Scrum course, we will use case studies to better conceptualize Scrum concepts and processes, and discuss how they might apply to a real-life situation. We will refer to the case studies for each process and apply the concepts learned.
This has been designed to help all students, irrespective of their industries, better understand and apply Scrum concepts and processes.
The Bubbleman web-app can be used in two modes – with or without a case study (you can view these options on the next page of the app). During the SCRUMstudy Introduction to Scrum course, choose the “With Case Study” mode, and if you are using the app at your workplace, then choose the “Without Case Study” mode. You will find detailed instructions on how to use the web-app in either of the two modes on the next page.

How to use the Bubbleman web-app with case study?
- A case which will require you to apply Scrum concepts will be displayed. You will be asked several questions related to different Scrum phases and processes. Your task is to answer them to the best of your abilities.
- On the next page of the app, you have to choose a Scrum process from which you want to answer questions.
- The next page will display the scenario. Read through it and then click on the ‘Go’ button at the bottom of the screen.
- The next section will display questions from the selected Scrum Process. To help you answer the question well, we have provided hints for each question which you can view by clicking on the ‘Hints’ button.
- Professor Bubbleman will then provide you hints, which will appear in the form of bubbles, to ensure that you have considered all aspects of a question while answering it.
- There might be more than one hint for a question, so click the “Next” button inside the hint bubble to view the next hint, or click the “Prev” button to view the previous hint. You can close the hint bubble and go back to the question by clicking “Close hints”.
- Our expert instructors have also provided recommended answers for each question which you can view by clicking on “Check Answer”. You can see the recommended answers along with the hints for that question.
- After viewing the recommended answer, you can go to the next question by clicking on the “Next” button which appears next to the “Check Answer” button.
- At any time, you can review your answers by clicking on the “Review” icon at the top of the page. You will be able to see all the questions, your answers, and the recommended answers. You can edit any answer by clicking on the edit icon.
- You can share your answers with anyone via email by clicking on “Save and Email” link on the review page.
- If you wish to quit and restart the app, click on the “Quit” link at the top of the page. All your answers will be deleted and you can start afresh.
How to use the Bubbleman web-app without SCRUMstudy’s case study?
- In this mode, you have to define the scenario for which you want to apply the Scrum framework. First, select the industry to which the scenario relates to and then describe the scenario in the text box provided. You can use any real-life scenario from your workplace.
- On the next page of the app, you have to choose a Scrum process from which you want to answer questions.
- The next section will display questions from the selected Scrum process. To help you answer the question well, we have provided hints for each question which you can view by clicking on the ‘Hints’ button.
- Professor Bubbleman will then provide you hints, which will appear in the form of bubbles, to ensure that you have considered all aspects of a question while answering it.
- There might be more than one hint for a question, so click the “Next” button inside the hint bubble to view the next hint, or click the “Prev” button to view the previous hint. You can close the hint bubble and go back to the question by clicking “Close hints”.
- If you are sure that you have answered correctly, you can choose to confirm your answer at any time by clicking the “Next” button.
- At any time, you can review your answers by clicking on the “Review” icon at the top of the page. You will be able to see all the questions, and your answers. You can edit any answer by clicking on the edit icon.
- You can share your answers with anyone via email by clicking on “Save and Email” link on the review page.
